View the city from the sky! Free tethered hot air balloon rides will be provided compliments of Anthony Rael - RE/MAX Alliance*. The balloon, which can accommodate up to 2 passengers in addition to the pilot, rises up about 40-60 feet and hovers, then comes back down a few minutes later to give the next group a ride. Complimentary photographs of your balloon ride can be downloaded or shared from Facebook immediately following the event.

The 1 mile walk is a great way to participate in the Heroes of Hope race, especially for those who are looking for low-impact physical activity. Enjoy a shorter route through Lutheran Medical Center's beautiful tree-lined campus, and cheer on your fellow race participants!
The 5K Run/Walk begins on Lutheran Medical Center's Campus - run along Lutheran Parkway West onto 32nd Avenue as our survivors and spirited guests cheer you on! Race to beat your own personal best, or compete with your friends during this sanctioned race. Not a runner? You're welcome to walk our 5K route, and enjoy the fresh summer breeze.
The 10K Run begins on Lutheran Medical Center's Campus, before turning onto 32nd Avenue and roping through Crown Hill Park. Take in spectacular views of Colorado's Front Range as you heroically race your way back to the hospital to celebrate survivorship with the community.
The Kids Dash, sponsored by The City of Wheat Ridge, is a just-for-fun opportunity available for children ages six and under. Lutheran Medical Center's Pet Therapy dogs make a special appearance as the half way markers in this fun-run. Participants receive a special prize upon completion.
If you have not picked up your information prior, please plan to arrive at 7:30AM to pick up your race packet. Participants should enter Lutheran Medical Center campus from Lutheran Parkway West off 38th Avenue. Due to road closures, you WILL NOT be able to utilize 32nd Avenue, so please plan accordingly. Race participants will be directed where to park by traffic control volunteers. Handicap parking and shuttles will be available.
A special dedication of Wheat Ridge High School's STEAM class sculpture, "Rooted in Hope" will take place at the 2016 Leaves of Hope. A beautiful representation of cancer survivorship, this sculpture will bring hope and inspiration to our patients for years to come.
