Lutheran's Cancer Center of Colorado and the Lutheran Medical Center Foundation partner to host the Heroes of Hope Run/Walk on National Cancer Survivors Day, the first Sunday of June annually.
By participating in Heroes of Hope, and showing your courage against cancer, you help to directly impact cancer care at Lutheran Medical Center. Through your generosity, Cancer Centers of COlorado is able to provide genetic counseling, patient navigation, humanitarian funds for our un-and under-insured patients, and so much more.

Heroes of Hope | Courage Against Cancer
Heroes of Hope features scenic and fast 5K and 10K courses, a 1-mile family walk, kids’ dash, live entertainment, door prizes for cancer survivors, a huge health and safety fair, kids’ activities and more.
Since 2008, over one hundred companies and thousands of participants have joined the event to celebrate survival and to benefit Lutheran’s cancer survivorship program, genetic counseling program, patient navigation, survivor and nurse education and patient care on the oncology unit.

Heroes of Hope offers fun, fast and scenic run/walk courses and fun for the whole family!
The 10K Run/Walk begins on Lutheran Medical Center’s Campus, before turning onto 32nd Avenue and roping through Crown Hill Park. Take in spectacular views of Colorado’s Front Range as you heroically race your way back to Lutheran Medical Center to celebrate survivorship with the community. 10K Course Map
The 5K Run/Walk begins on Lutheran Medical Center’s Campus – run along Lutheran Parkway West onto 32nd Avenue as our survivors and spirited guests cheer you on! Race to beat your own personal best, or compete with your friends during this sanctioned race. Not a runner? You’re welcome to walk our 5K route, and enjoy the fresh summer breeze. 5K Course Map
The 1 mile walk is a great way to participate in the Heroes of Hope Run/Walk, especially for those who are looking for low-impact physical activity. Enjoy a shorter route through Lutheran Medical Center’s beautiful tree-lined campus, and cheer on your fellow race participants!
The Survivor Walk is a time to recognize and celebrate the resilient survivors in our community as they walk on Lutheran's beautiful campus.
The Kids Dash, sponsored by the City of Wheat Ridge, is a just-for-fun opportunity available for children ages six and under. Lutheran Medical Center’s Pet Therapy dogs make a special appearance as the half-way markers in this fun-run. Participants receive a special prize upon completion.
All courses are dog- and stroller-friendly, and medals will be awarded to the top finishers!
